Intelligent Warehousing & Logistics Empowers the Power Material Industry
Project Overview
This State Grid project is designed with 3 stacker cranes, including two types: curved rail (single unit) and straight rail (double-depth). For medium-duty warehouses (1500 kg per pallet) and heavy-duty warehouses (3500 kg per pallet), cage pallets and steel pallets are adopted respectively. RGV conveyors are deployed to transfer pallets between the storage area conveyors and operation zone conveyors.

Pain Points
- Inconsistent material storage modes and unfixed placement zones in the warehouse, which increase uncertainties in picking, inbound and outbound workflows.
- A wide variety of materials with disparate component sizes. Tiny materials are prone to loss. The information synchronization and collaboration capability of overall material management need improvement, bringing high difficulty to picking and allocation.
- The material warehouse mainly relies on manual operation, resulting in high labor costs and heavy workload. Work efficiency and warehouse performance require urgent improvement.

Implementation Outcomes
By standardizing multi-variety and multi-specification materials, and adopting universal intelligent technologies and 5G-enabled innovations, an intelligent unmanned warehousing and logistics center for power materials has been built. The project effectively addresses the challenges of insufficient warehouse space utilization and low efficiency of traditional storage, inbound and outbound operations.
Innovation & Promotion
For warehouses storing similar types of materials, this solution can be further promoted in regional material warehouses of telecom operators, coal mining material warehouses, as well as material warehouses for high-speed railways and expressways.
