Intelligent Warehousing & Logistics Empowers the General Machinery Industry
Project Overview
Zhejiang Onuo Machinery has built an intelligent warehousing and logistics system. The project realizes interconnection between the WMS (Warehouse Management System) and MES (Manufacturing Execution System). When production BOM orders are released, intelligent warehousing equipment executes material inbound and outbound tasks according to instructions. Operators pick required materials by referencing display screens on site. Highlights: High efficiency, fast material turnover and reduced labor costs.

Pain Points
- The workshop operates in 24-hour shift mode. Traditional warehouse management fails to keep up with the required turnover speed of production materials.
- Manual material requisition is error-prone, and real-time inventory visibility cannot be achieved.
- The production warehouse relies heavily on manual operations, leading to high labor costs and heavy workload. Work efficiency and warehouse performance need urgent improvement.

Implementation Outcomes
After the system releases order instructions, stacker cranes automatically deliver materials from the high-bay warehouse to picking stations. Workers pick the required quantity of materials, and leftover materials are automatically returned to storage. This solution effectively addresses the bottlenecks in material storage and picking for traditional BOM-based production.
Innovation & Promotion
For enterprises with 24-hour continuous production, this intelligent warehousing solution can be replicated. It connects WMS with the enterprise MES system to realize intelligent and on-demand material allocation according to production requirements.
