AGIQUAD Releases All-Terrain Quadruped Robot Solution for Electric Power Inspection
NANTONG, China — AGIQUAD, the electric power inspection solution brand of ZTT Robotics (Nantong) Co., Ltd., has introduced an all-terrain intelligent mobility and operational platform purpose-built for the power sector, combining a quadruped inspection robot, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and fixed cameras into a single remote inspection system.
The new platform, branded under the company's "Robot + Video" approach, puts an all-terrain quadruped robot at its core, supplemented by surveillance cameras and UAVs. It integrates and consolidates video and image information on equipment operating status and, supported by intelligent analysis technology, replaces on-site inspections with remote inspection methods. Designed for intelligent and unattended substations, the system allows information captured on site to be uniformly uploaded to a centralized control station, where operation and maintenance teams perform centralized monitoring, daily management and O&M analysis.
At its core is AGIBOT, an all-terrain quadruped inspection robot that weighs 41 kg, carries an IP66 protection rating, and offers a range of more than 20 km with 3.5 hours of endurance. It moves freely across 25 cm obstacles and stairs, 45-degree slopes, grass, gravel roads and standing water, bridging indoor and outdoor spaces without modifying existing environments. The robot can be equipped with a dual-spectrum PTZ, 5G communication, Beidou/GPS/RTK, gas sensors, partial discharge detectors and robotic arms according to inspection needs.
The launch comes as policy momentum accelerates the adoption of inspection robots in China's power industry. Since 2015, successive national plans - from "Made in China 2025" to the "Robotics+" Application Action Plan - have called for developing and promoting power inspection robots, upgrading energy and manufacturing with intelligent, autonomous products, and building a standardized inspection-robot ecosystem. This policy background is exclusive to the Chinese market.
